Bad Boy Off Road Brand Renames to Textron Off Road

Recently, Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. declared to change its brand name “Bad Boy® Off Road” to “Textron Off Road”. The new website address is: www.TextronOffRoad.com.

As a brand of Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, Bad Boy® Off Road brand was the pioneer of the electrically powered 4x4 vehicles used for hunting and outdoor recreation.

Today, the Textron Off Road product line covers gas, electric and hybrid-powered off-road vehicles for different uses in work and play, including the new gasoline-powered Stampede™ and Stampede XTR 4x4 side-by-sides, the all-electric Recoil®, Recoil iS and Recoil iS Crew; and the hybrid Ambush® iS. The Textron Off Road vehicles enjoy a high reputation because of their silent, odorless operation and environmentally friendly, emissions-free drivetrains.

According to John Collins, vice president, consumer for Textron Specialized Vehicles, the change of brand name has deeper signification. As Textron has already built a strong engineering and manufacturing legacy in such industries as aerospace, defense and automotive, the new name Textron Off Road will certainly better reflect the detailed design, precision engineering, manufacturing expertise and high performance of the brand.

 “Our new name is more indicative of the level of performance, quality and innovation that we build into our side-by-sides, and demonstrates how serious Textron is about its future in the powersports market.” said John Collins.

By April 2017, vehicles with the new Textron Off Road branding will be launched in authorized dealerships; side-by-side models in the current line will remain the same.
