Club Car & Its Onward Draws Visitors’ Attention at 2017 PGA Show
As the annual “MAJOR of Golf Business,” , the PGA Merchandise Show is held for everyone in the golf industry to showcase all the new equipment, technology, apparel and gadgetry for the upcoming season. Since the show is not open to the public, most attendees are PGA of America professionals and their guests, and industry employees and insiders.
2017 PGA Merchandise Show, which took place in Orlando from Jan. 25-27, is the latest and greatest in the golf industry. Over 1,000 golf companies and brands were featured within nearly 10 miles of Show aisles; more than 1,000 vendors were on hand at the Orange County Convention Center. This show welcomed more than 40,000 golf industry professionals from all 50 U.S. states and 84 countries all over the world.
As the world’s largest manufacturer of small-wheeled, zero-emission electric and utility vehicles and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, Club Car™ successfully caught visitors' eye at the 2017 PGA Show. This year Club Car™ expanded its product offerings, introducing a variety of vehicles at its booth, including the PRECEDENT®, Transporter XL™, CARRYALL® and Café Express.™
To highlight its commitment and ability to provide holistic solutions to satisfy various needs of golf course owners and resort operators, Club Car displayed its extensive portfolio of utility and turf utility vehicles.
It is worth mentioning that for the first time Club Car revealed the Onward,™ a personal transportation vehicle (PTV). The Onward™ is its first major product that Club Car has launched in 10 years. It is designed for master planned communities and open neighborhoods, offering a highly customizable platform. A lifted, 4-passenger version was on display at the booth.
Marc Dufour, Club Car’s CEO and President told us more about Club Car’s newest offering, Onward. The Onward is Club Car’s latest Personal Transport Vehicle (PTV) and comes available in a variety of configuration options. Some of those options include both a 2 and 4-person configuration and a vehicle lift option. Onward just started to roll off the assembly line and Club Car couldn’t be happier with the results.
