2017 U.S. Open Payouts: Prize Money Distribution
On a lovely Sunday, Brooks Koepka ripped apart Erin Hills, winning the 2017 U.S. Open with a score of 16-under-par. The 27-year-old golf star impressively won his first major championship. He fired a final round 67 to run away from a couple of other challengers to claim the year’s second major.
Early in February, The U.S. Open announced the total 2017 purse has increased to $12 million, setting a new record with most money paid out to a field.
Brooks Koepka, as the 2017 winner, will earn over $2 million.
