I've been going through an old '72 club car 36v. It has five 36v solenoids. Three have tested bad. I have a couple of questions...do I have to or should I stick with 36v solenoids or is that just the minimum voltage for this application....i.e. Can 48v or even larger be used? Second, is there a particular brand/model that any of you would recommend. It seems to me I remember reading a post somewhere with a guy using a heavy duty solenoid with a larger voltage than his cart and was saying how they have held up much better.
