If going from a 22x8 to a 20x10 tire my height will remain the same correct? I want a certain tire that doesn't come in 22x8 but does come in 20x10. What am I missing?

No the 20x10 will be 2" smaller than 22x8. The first number is the tire height and the second number is the rim size.
