Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and golf carts. I leave in a few weeks for another deployment and I bought a nice 1997 EZGO TXT series cart for the family to ride around the neighborhood while I'm gone. The cart has brand new Bulldog batteries, new paint, lift, 12" wheels and 23" tires and new flip seat and seat covers and I paid $2500 for it. We've driven it every day since we bought it (about a week) and the other night I installed a headlight kit (I didn't wire it, just cut them out and mounted them). Plugged it up and went to bed. The next evening I went to go for a ride and nothing. I checked the batteries and they all show 6.7 v and I found a bad cable end. I changed it and made sure all cables were tight and saw that the backup buzzer was disconnected so I hooked up the buzzer and it works. I'm not that great with electrical stuff but I used the trouble shooting guide and need some help. The solenoid does not click so i went through the process as outlined in the resources section. On the second diagram I got to where I checked the voltage from B- to the "controller side" of the solenoid. I assume that refers to the left big post on the other side of the battery bank? I think it's wired to the B+ side of the controller? Anyways I get the same voltage as my reference voltage and the chart says "check solenoid: replace if welded". I'm really hoping this is all it is as my kids are pretty disappointed, the wife's pissed and I'm getting ready to leave for another 13+ months. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.
